Forests German/Austrian Border January 4, 1939 15:20 PM: This is a thick collection of pine ferns near the mountainous regions of the two nations' border. It is only broken up by streams and rocky gullies. Inside one of these gullies a pack of grey wolves are running through it. Behind there is the sound of engines. The two alphas, a male and a pregnant female, are trying to guide the pack away from the noise. Female:"They're gaining!" Male:"Just keep running!" They keep running. Shortly after, a bunch of motorcycles being ridden by German soldiers come out of the forest. They ride in a wide line behind and around the wolves. The female pants. Female:"I can't... go further... too tired..." Male:"You must keep running!" Female:"But I... In front of us!" Before the wolves a pair of trucks appear in the gully, cutting off their path. The pack stops and are immediately surrounded by the Germans. They form a circle and snarl at the humans. From the trucks more German soldiers jump out, followed by a man in a white lab coat. The soldiers from the trucks are carrying crossbows. They take aim at the wolves and fire darts at them. The wolves yelp as the darts hit them, but they keep snarling and barking. But very soon they begin to pass out. The male alpha sees his mate topple over and runs over to nuzzle her. Male:"No... this isn't... the time... to..." He wobbles on his paws, then collapses. Soon the entire pack is lying on the ground. The lab coat human goes to check on them. Human:"All of them are sedated. Into ze trucks with them! Schnell!" The German soldiers come forward to pick up the wolves and get them loaded up into the trucks. Neuremerberg Castle Somewhere in Germany January 7, 1937 16:02 PM: This is a huge castle situated on an island in the middle of a lake. A single stone bridge leads from a town on the nearby shore to the castle gate. The red and black banners of the Nazis fly from the minarets of the castle and on poles on either end of the bridge. Soldiers guard the gate and patrol the castle ramparts. Coming along the bridge is a black official car escorted by several jeeps. The guards at the gate give the Nazi salute and let them drive into the courtyard. There the vehicles stop and the occupants climb out. They are all dressed in the black uniforms of the Waffen SS. A man in a labcoat comes out from the main entrance and walks to the official car as the chauffer lets his passenger out: Heinrich Himmler. The scientist salutes Himmler. Scientist:"Gutentag, Herr Himmler. Welcome to Castle Neuremer- berg." Himmler salutes back and then they shake hands. Himmler:"Greetings, Doctor Gustav. I'm here as a representative of the Feurher to see how your project is coming along. You mentioned in your telegram you are the verge of a huge breakthrough that would immensely aid the Third Reich." Gustav:"Of course, Herr Himmler. We have made great strides and I'm pleased that you are here today to witness a pivotal moment in our work." Himmler:"Is that so?" Gustav:"Certainly, Herr Himmler. In fact, when we heard you were coming we delayed the test just so you can see it for yourself." Himmler:"I'm flattered. Where is this test you want to show me?" Gustav:"Please follow me, Herr Himmler." Gustav leads Himmler and his SS bodyguards into the castle while drivers take the convoy to the garages. Grand Hall Neuremerberg Castle: This was once the main hall where the ruler of the castle sat on his throne with his court to receive visitors. But the Nazis have turned it into a giant laboratory. A huge machine stands in the middle of the room, resembling a crude version of the transdogmafier. Coils hang on cables from the ceiling while smaller machines surround it. At the one side of the hall is a balcony overlooking the room while at the other end is a group of cages where wolves are being held. Near the cages two scientists were busy talking. Scientist 1:"We first need to finish the checks. These wolves haven't been tested for diseases and such." Scientist 2:"But Herr Himmler is here. We are going to use these wolves for the demonstration." Scientist 1:"But we don't know what is going to happen if we use a healthy wolf, nevermind one that might have a disease or disability." Scientist 2:"Too bad. We can sort out those problems later, but right now we need to impress Herr Himmler. His word will determine if our project will bring glory to the Third Reich or be swept aside for others." The first scientist sighs and jerks a thumb at one cage holding the female alpha. Scientist 1:"Very well. That female over there is a pack leader. You can start with her." Scientist 2:"Good. Let's get the machine ready." They get to work. Meanwhile, Gustav brings Himmler and his entourage to the balcony. He shows the machine to Himmler. Gustav:"There it is, Herr Himmler. The greatest invention of this era, born from German science." Himmler:"It does look impressive. What does it do, exactly?" Gustav:"Mere words can't do it justice. That is why I arranged this demonstration for you." Himmler:"Get on with it, then!" Gustav:"Yes, Herr Himmler! Everyone, begin the test run!" The scientist scramble to get the machine started. Coils crackle with electricity as guage needles jump and machines begin to vibrate. Other scientists go to the cages and use a long pole with a loop at the end to grab the female by the neck. The wolf growls and snarls, but they drag her to the machine. They bring her up onto a pedestal under a big, overhanging dome with many wires and coils going into it. The scientists hold her there. Scientist 1:"She's in position! Now, schnell!" Another scientist flips a big switch. The machine hums louder and louder, then the dome begins to shoot down bolts of energy upon the female wolf. She yelps and whines in pain as she starts to glow, fur standing on end. Then she begins to transform. She goes from standing on all fours to standing on her rear legs. Her front paws turn into hands and her body turns into that of a humanoid female. Within minutes she is transformed into a wolf-sapien. The machine is shut down. Gustav smiles when he sees Himmler's astonished face. Himmler:"Mein Gott! That is incredible!" Gustav:"Impressive isn't it, Herr Himmler?" Himmler:"Impressive? This is amazing! With this machine you can creature an entire new army! A new labour force! The Fuerher will be pleased with this." Gustav:"Bring that subject closer! Herr Himmler wants to see him up close." But as they do that, one of the scientists notices with alarm that the female is pregnant. He tries to point this out, but the others hush him and bring the wolf-sapien closer to the balcony. Himmler leans forward, looking at the creature below him. Himmler:"Can you make them all like her?" Gustav:"With enough time and funding, we can have an army fit for a Fuerher." Himmler:"You will have both. The Fuerher will most certainly want to expand this project. With this, we can..." A loud yelp interrupts them. They all look and see the wolf female doubled over and whimpering in pain. The scientists rush to check. Gustav leans over the balcony. Gustav:"What is wrong?" Scientist 3:"She... she's going into labour! She's pregnant!" Gustav:"Pregant?! How did you..." The wolf's whines of pain becomes louder. The scientists quickly grab her and rush her to a nearby table where some medical equipment are. Himmler looks at Gustav. Himmler:"Was that part of the demonstration?" Gustav is flustered. Gustav:"Nein, this is just... teething problems, Herr Himmler. Minor issues that we will iron out the more we use this machine, yah." The wolf is placed on a gurney and the scientist rush to help her give birth. They work fast and frantically with what medical tools they have. A few minutes later there is the sound of mewling pups. The scientists wipe off and wrap up two puppies, both with grey fur with white fur running from their muzzles down their bellies. They are also both wolf-sapiens, much to the scientists' surprise. Gustav calls to them. Gustav:"Is the female subject all right?" Scientist:"Yah, and so are her two puppies. They all look healthy to us." Gustav:"Are the pups still normal wolves?" Scientist:"Nein! They are humanoids too." Gustav is surprised, and is so Himmler. Himmler:"The pups are also changed? Right in the womb?" Gustav:"It would appear so, Herr Himmler." Himmler slaps Gustav hard on the shoulder, grinning broadly. Himmler:"You and your team will get an unlimited budget. Herr Hitler himself will give your project his personal approval, I can promise you that." Gustav:"Danke, Herr Himmler. I... we are all pleased to serve for the glory of the Third Reich." Back at the gurney the scientists are looking uncertainly at each other while holding the mewling pups. Scientist 1:"What do we do now with these?" Scientist 2:"Put them in the same cage as the mother. Let her take care of them until Gustav finishes with Herr Himmler and takes a look at them." Scientist 1:"Yawol." The scientists clean up the female, then take her and her pups back to her cage. They put her inside, then give her the two puppies and closing the cage. Right away she lets the pups suckle on her. In the cage next to hers, her mate trots up and looks at her and the pups. He is stunned at what he sees. The female notices him and holds the pups to the bars. The male backs off a bit at the unusual forms of his pups, but then he comes back to sniff them. Then he lovingly licks the two pups. The female smiles and takes back the pups to keep feeding them while the male wags his tail in satisfaction. Gardens Neuremerberg Castle 14 April 1938 09:03 AM: This is an open space at the back of the castle, enclosed by high walls on all sides. Many wolves are here, relaxing and playing with the pups. They are now all wolf-sapiens. Supervising them are the scientists while on the ramparts above soldiers keep guard. From a balcony on a tower, Gustav is looking down at the gardens with another scientist. Gustav:"All the pups doing fine?" Scientist:"Yah, they are all active and healthy. No ill effects so far from the transformation." Gustav:"Guht. How are those two pups doing? The first ones who were transformed?" Scientist:"The one from the pregnant female? Both are doing fine. They've been given the names Stalker and Trigger." Gustav:"Stalker and Trigger?" Scientist:"Stalker got that name because he's always sneaking behind the staff and pouncing their shoes. And Trigger got his because he seems to be a bit tempermental. He tends to bite when you handle him." Gustav:"Ah, I understand now. And what about that other pup? The one the Fuerher asked to be named after our Fascist ally in Spain?" Scientist:"Franco? See for yourself, there he is." He points down at a litter of pups. One pup with reddish fur is tackling another pup and pinning him to the ground. Scientist:"He is doing fine, though some of the staff have raised concerns about his aggressiveness." Gustav shrugs. Gustav:"Nothing to worry about. We have the training program in place to bring him in line once he is mature. He might make a good leader. Speaking of, have we identified a wolf who might be a good leader." Scientist:"That is still up in the air, Herr Gustav. The alphas from the various packs we brought in are still snarling for the position, though the guards have made sure it didn't go beyond that." Gustav:"We might have to hold trials sooner or later once they are trained up. That should give us clearer indications which is the best. Is the training program ready?" Scientist:"The first wolves will undergo training next week." Gustav nods in approval. Gustav:"Guht." He looks back down at the wolves, watching the pups play and fight with one another. Grand Hall Neuremerberg Castle 11 July 1939 10:44 AM: The giant machine is turned off while technicians are busy installing better, smaller systems and doing other kinds of upgrades and general work. Gustav comes walking past towards the back of the hall. Most of the cages that were there are gone save for one. Two scientists and a German official are standing here. Gustav approaches and both he and the official give the Nazi salute. Gustav:"Gutentag, Ambassador. Welcome back to the Reich." Ambassador:"Seig Heil, Herr Gustav. It is good to be back in Fatherland after my stay in Canada." Gustav:"What brings you to the castle, Ambassador?" Ambassador:"During my stay in Canada, some of our agents posted in the far north had managed to capture a wolf as a gift for the Fuerher. You know much our leader loves animals." Gustav:"Ah! An excellent gift, Ambassador. Have you presented the wolf to the Fuerher himself?" Ambassador:"Indeed, and he most pleased. In fact, he was so glad about the gift that he told me about your project here and had dispatched me to bring the wolf here. Don't worry, I'm keeping the project a secret as per the Fuerher's instructions." Gustav:"Guht, guht. Where is this wolf?" Ambassador:"Right here in this cage." The ambassador steps aside and points to the cage behind him where the two other scientists are looking into. Inside the cage is a very large wolf with bright silver fur. Gustav is surprised by what he sees. Gustav:"Mein Gott." Ambassador:"Amazing specimen, is he not? You can see why Hitler was pleased." Gustav:"Yah, but Herr Ambassador. This wolf doesn't exist." Ambassador:"Doesn't exist? What are you talking about?" Gustav:"Apologies. I meant this wolf doesn't exist in any records about the canis lupus species. That silver fur is an anomoly, as is its size. Where did your people find this wolf?" Ambassador:"They were spying on an American military facility on the Alaskan/Canadian border when they caught the wolf trying to steal their food. It is a very remote region." Gustav rubs his chin, looking back at the wolf. He then turns back to the Ambassador. Gustav:"When you get back to Berlin, ask the Fuerher what he would like to name this wolf, because you have managed to discover a new breed of wolf." Ambassador:"I have?" Gustav:"Indeed! This is an impressive discovery, Herr Ambassador. And if you let the Fuerher name this new discovery, he might look even more favourably upon you." The Ambassador smiles widely. Ambassador:"That is indeed wonderful! I will go see the Fuerher right away! He might even make me administrator of the new Liebensraum terrorities when we invade Po..." Gustav immediately slaps his hand over the official's mouth to silence him. Gustav(whispering):"Quiet, you fool! That is still top secret!" The ambassador nods quickly. Gustav takes his hand away and looks around. Gustav:"Let's go to my office and discuss this further, yah?" Ambassador:"Yah, good idea. I need a drink." Gustav:"Let's go. You two! Take the wolf for a medical examination and have him be the first to be transformed once the machine is working again." The scientists nod as Gustav leads the official way. The scientists then look back at the wolf. The wolf just sits on its haunches, staring intently at his human captors without so much as a growl or snarl. Holding Pens 16:15 PM: This part of the castle used to be the dungeons, but its been turned into a holding pen for the wolf-sapiens. The cell doors have been taken off, but the main cell door is still in place while catwalks for the guards have been placed up in the rafters. Right now all the wolves and their pups are here, eaten a big meal consisting mainly of meat. When the main cell door is unlocked and opened they all turn to look. The captured wolf, now a large wolf-sapien, is brought in under heavy guard. Several of the Germans are bruised and bandaged. Guard:"In with you!" They shove him roughly in and quickly shut the cell door. The wolf snarls at them once, then turns his attention to the others. The other wolves are staring at him. One of the wolves, a Gray Wolf, gets up and walks over to him, barking in wolf so the guards don't listen in on them. Gray:"You... you're a... Direwolf?" The big wolf nods. Direwolf:"Yes, I am. My name is Fettel." Immediately all the other wolves are staring at the Direwolf with shock, amazement and awe. Gray:"That is incredible! We all thought Direwolves were extinct." Fettel:"We nearly have been driven to extinction, but there are still packs of us living in the remote parts of the world. My own pack lives far north in the lands the humans call Canada." Gray:"Amazing, but how did you get caught?" Fettel shakes his head. Fettel:"My own pride got the better of me. I assumed was the great hunter of my pack and could catch any prey. I was wrong, and the price was my capture by these humans." Gray:"You planning to return to your pack?" Fettel:"No, I can never go back. Direwolves are not forgiving of those who let themselves get caught by humans." The alphas of the various captured packs approach Fettel. Alpha 1:"How do you feel about this new form, Fettel?" Fettel looks at his humanoid hands. Fettel:"It is very... odd. Being able to walk and move like the humans do." Alpha 2:"You don't feel ill?" Fettel:"A little, but nothing a pup can deal with. I should be in good shape soon." Alpha 3:"Want to join us alphas? We can share some meat with you and tell you what is happening here." Fettel licks his lips. Fettel:"Meat, please. The humans have been feeding me foul little pellets until now. I could do with proper food." Alpha 3:"Then please come feed with us, Direwolf." Fettel goes and joins the alphas to eat and listen to their stories while the other wolves gather around as well. The guards above watch them curiously but otherwise just keep an eye on their captives. Courtyard Neuremerberg Castle 2 February 1940 8:30 AM: The courtyard is a hive of activity. Many guards are posted in and around the courtyard and up on the ramparts. Extra Nazi banners have been put up. The scientists are all dressed in their finest, but the real stars is a line of wolf-sapiens. They are dressed in full military uniforms that resemble that of the SS, only with the SS insignia replaced with a silver star. Fettel is in the centre of the line, standing well above the humans and even his fellow wolves. Standing before them is the castle guard captain. Captain:"Achtung! At the ready!" Fettel repeats the command. Fettel:"At the ready!" The wolves stand up straight. There is a call from the gate guards and then stand to attention. A convoy of official vehicles come driving in with jeeps full of SS soldiers. Captain:"Salute!" Fettel:"Salute!" Everyone in the courtyard stand to attention and give the Nazi salute as the vehicles come to a stop in the centre. The SS climb out to go and open the doors. A number of high- ranking Nazis climb out, but one figure dominates them all: Adolf Hitler. Gustav walks up to his car and salutes. Gustav:"Heil Hitler! Welcome to Neuremerberg Castle." Hitler salutes him back. Hitler:"Heil, Herr Gustav. I'm glad to be here. And I see the fruits of your labour here as well." Gustav:"Danke, mein Fuerher. Care to take a closer look?" Hitler:"I would be glad to." Gustav leads Hitler to the line of wolves. Fettel barks a command. Fettel:"Attention!" Fettel and the wolves stand up ramrod straight and eyes forward. Gustav and Hitler, followed by Hitler's entourage, begins to walk along the line. Hitler looks in fascination at the humanoid wolves before him. He walks slowly, examining them one by one. Hitler:"They won't attack?" Gustav:"Nein, mein Fuerher. They are very well trained and disciplined. We are as safe as the Third Reich itself." Hitler chuckles. Hitler:"Good, good! I am really impressed with what I see here." Gustav beams with pride. Gustav:"Danke, mein Fuerher." Hitler comes to Fettel, who is almost twice as tall as him. He looks Fettel up and down. Hitler:"He is very big." Gustav:"Indeed he is. And very strong, too. His name is Fettel, and he has quickly asserted himself as leader of all the wolves here." Hitler:"Really? He's not too assertive, is he?" Gustav:"Nein, mein Fuerher. He is completely obedient. Give it a try." Hitler nods and looks at Fettel. Hitler:"Are you loyal to the Third Reich, Fettel? To Germany herself?" Fettel:"Mein Fuerher, we serve the Reich!" Fettel and the wolves all salute simultaniously. Fettel, Wolves:"Sieg Heil! Deutschland uber alles!" Hitler laughs and claps his hands together. He is clearly very pleased with the display. He turns to Gustav. Hitler:"Excellent, excellent! Herr Gustav, your research here here is a boon to the Reich. Tell me, when will your wolves be ready to fight?" Gustav:"A few months and they will be ready for their first field trial. If all goes well, they will be ready for combat by the end of the year, mein Fuerher." Hitler:"Good! There are big plans afoot for the future of the Third Reich and your creations could be the new spearhead for these plans. Now, show me how you made these wolves." Gustav:"Of course, mein Fuerher. This way, please." Gustav guides Hitler and his entourage towards the main castle. As they turn away, though, Fettel gives a low growl at the humans. The other wolves are also giving the collection of humans nasty looks. Puppy Creche Neuremerberg Castle 11 November 1940 12:04 PM: This is the old chapel of the castle that has been turned into a creche for the wolf pups. The pews and podium have been removed to create large play pens for the pups. Up in the rafters are observatories for the guards posted on the ceiling looking down. Below, a few adult wolf females are keeping an eye on and playing with the dozen or so wolf-sapien puppies. There is much yapping and barking coming from the little wolves. Among the pups are the juvenile brothers Stalker and Trigger. The two of them are playing with a few other pups and they are all mimicking a parade line. They are using sticks as makeshift guns. Stalker:"Attention! March!" Trigger:"Left! Right!" The pups begin to march in a line, lead by the two brothers. Near the back, a big pup is behind a younger one. He shoves the stick between the younger's legs. The pup yelps and stumbles forward. He knocks over the next pup, who then falls into the next one, and so forth until even Stalker and Trigger are knocked over. The big pup is laughing and pointing at the puppy pile. Stalker growls as he gets up and walks to the big pup. Stalker:"You messed up our march!" Big Pup:"Yeah! And it was very funny!" Stalker:"I will take disciplinary action!" The big pup laughs some more and folds his arms, looking back at Stalker with amusement. Big Pup:"And what action are you going to take?" Stalker growls and pokes the big pup with one finger. A bolt of electricity jumps from his finger to the pup. The big pup yelps in pain and jumps back. Big Pup:"Ouch! That hurt!" Stalker keeps giving electrical pokes to the big pup. The pup yips and yelps before stumbling onto his back. He is now very scared. Big Pup:"I give up! I give up!" Stalker:"Will you follow orders properly next time?" Big Pup:"Yes! Yes! I'll do it!" Stalker:"Good." Stalker pulls the big pup back up to his feet. Suddenly the big pup's eyes widen and his ears fold back. Confused, Stalker turns around and sees Trigger and the other pups are also with folded ears and big eyes. Then Stalker sees why: kneeling right behind him is Fettel. The direwolf looms large over Stalker. Stalker folds his ears back and his eyes widen with shock. Fettel smiles at him. Fettel:"What is your name, little one?" Stalker:"S-s-stalker, sir." Fettel:"Stalker. And is this your litter brother?" He gestures to Trigger. Stalker nods quickly. Stalker:"Y-yes, sir. He is my brother, Trigger." Fettel:"Trigger? Interesting name. I saw your little parade here. You two are natural alphas, real leaders?" Both Stalker and Trigger wag their tails. Stalker:"Really, sir?" Fettel nods. Fettel:"I know a good alpha when I see one. You two still need to mature and undergo training, but one day I can see one of you, or even both of you, taking the lead of your own packs." Both pups are excited, tails wagging happily. Trigger:"Thanks so much, sir!" Stalker:"We'll practice really hard, sir!" Fettel laughs and rubs the pups' heads with both of his big paws. Fettel:"Be sure to. Now don't let me keep you distracted. Take care." The direwolf stands up and walks away, leaving Stalker and Trigger staring at him in awe as he heads out of the creche. Once he is gone, the two brothers recorganise their parade and resume the march, this time in a more orderly fashion. Up above the guards just chuckle at this amusing scene and take little note otherwise. Resistance Camp Vichy France 11 March 1941 01:31 AM: This is the ruins of an old fort located in a forest in Vichy- governed France. Much of the building has crumbled, though there are enough of it left to give shelter to a dozen or so French men gathered around a small gas light. They are looking over a map of a nearby railway line with several marked spots on it. Some of them are armed with Lebel rifles and MAS-38 submachine guns. They listen to their leader. Leader:"We will plant the explosives here, just before the small bridge. Once the troop train comes, we blow the track and the train will derail right into the stream." Member 1:"Do we attack the troops?" Leader:"Only briefly. We fire for a minute, then retreat before the survivors can mobilize." Member 2:"How many teams will be?" Leader:"Three. One will plan the bomb, the other two will..." They are interrupted by the howl of a wolf not far off. Some of the men look around nervously, but the leader is unfazed. Leader:"Calm down, it is just wolves. They rarely attack humans." Member 3:"You sure? That howl sounded pretty close." Leader:"I'm very sure. Now, once we've done the mission we will head here to..." Suddenly the air shimmers behind the leader. Within seconds a wolf-sapien appears behind him. The wolf-sapien is dressed in uniform with a large helmet and red goggles. Before the leader realises what is going on, the wolf grabs him and drags him off into the darkness. The resistance members are shocked. Some of them panic and run for the forest, only to have a pair of wolf-sapiens pop out from behind the trees. Before the men can react the two wolves open fire with MP38s, gunning them down. The other resistance members try to rally. Member 1:"Defensive positions! Take cover and get your guns!" Suddenly another wolf-sapien appears, running so fast that he leaves a trail of flames. He rushes past the resistance members and grabs their weapons before the resistance can even blink. He runs off, leaving the members mostly unarmed except for some pistols. Member 2:"Sacre bleu! We must flee!" Member 1:"No, hold ground!" Suddenly there is a loud crash above them. They look up. Standing on the top of a ruined wall is Fettel, looming large with big red eyes and fangs bared. In a panic, one of the men fires his pistol at Fettel, but his shots miss. In response, Fettel jumps down and breathes a tongue of flame. Within seconds the men are on fire, flailing and screaming. The other wolf-sapiens then rush and gun them down. Once done, Fettel barks orders. Fettel:"Look around for plans, documents and radios. Take them back to the trucks." The wolves spread out among the ruins. They quickly secure all the resistance's equipment and papers. As they leave, Fettel sets fires all around the ruins before joining the others. The wolves head out into the forest, leaving behind the glow of the burning former resistance hideout. After travelling through the forest for a while, they come to a convoy of German trucks surrounded by elite SS soldiers. The wolves approach the convoy. Fettel goes up to the SS captain and salutes. Fettel:"Mission accomplished." Captain:"No survivors?" Fettel:"None left." Captain:"And you have ze the intelligence?" Fettel:"We took it all as ordered." Captain:"Guht, guht! Command will be most pleased with zis achievement. Into ze the trucks." Fettel:"Jawohl." Fettel barks orders. The wolves load up the trucks with their spoils before climbing on themselves. The SS soldiers get into the trucks and drive off into the night. Banquet Hall Neuremerberg Castle 16 July 1941 20:01 PM: This is a long hall with a single long table running down the length of it. Wooden benches are arranged on either side of the table. The wolf-sapiens are all seated by the table, waiting while several German servants hand out bowls of hot meals from serving trolleys. Guards keep watch on them from a balcony on one side of the hall. Fettel is seated at the head of the table with the other alphas. He looms over them with his size and speaks to two of the alphas in wolf barks. Fettel:"The humans are giving me more and more duties. They are beginning to trust me, but it also increases the burden. I'm going to need a pair of wolves who can serve as my betas. I know the other alphas won't accept it, but you two look more receptive to the idea. How do you feel, Hyra and Kanne?" One of the alphas, a black female gray wolf with red eyes, nods her head. This is Hyra. Hyra(Russian accent):"I understand fully, Fettel. Our pack grows everyday and you will need assistance to control the pack. I'm more than prepared to take up the challenge." The other alpha, a brown and grey-furred red wolf with reds eyes, also nods his head. This is Kanne. Kanne(Spanish accent):"Si. Our might grows right before our human captors and we need to properly guide that might. I'm ready for the challenge." Fettel nods in satisfaction. Fettel:"Then I accept you both as my betas. Thank you." Kanne:"It is a pleasure, pack leader." Fettel:"And I will need your help, and the other help of the others, to eventually plot our freedom from these humans." Hyra:"An escape?" Fettel:"A revolt or uprising would be more approriate a name for it, but yes. I intend for us to break free from this castle. Everyone of us, and we take their strange machine along with us as well." Kanne:"How will we manage that? Is there a plan?" Fettel:"Not at the moment. It is still in the future. For now we obey these humans while growing stronger. Then we will break free once we are too strong for them. For now, we simply observe and learn what we can. That is why I need you to help organise the pack and give everyone secret duties to spy on these humans." Hyra:"We'll be glad to assist." Kanne:"The humans will be ignorant to our designs." Fettel:"Excellent. Now, let us eat and keep our tails low." Hyra and Kanne nod and continue eating along with Fettel. The guards continue watching, unaware of the conversation that took place.
