Chapter 10 It was a few days before any of the Rovers or Millennium team members noticed that something wasn't quite right. It started out when the equisapien doctor stopped by Blitz's room to check on him. He entered the room and noticed that Blitz hadn't touched his dinner nor his lunch nor breakfast. The equisapien doctor walked over to the bed to touch Blitz's shoulder. As he lay his hand on what he thought was Blitz's shoulder, it popped! As did every lump in the bed! The equisapien doctor jumped all the way back to the door! That's when he noticed the remains of the rubber balloons all over the bed. The doctor then searched every inch of the room, and discovered that the entire backside of one magazine had been torn off, and was nowhere in the room itself. Hunter, Exile, Colleen and Shag were sitting in the lounge with Animax, Rob and a few others. They were playing a game of charades. Suddenly, the equisapien doctor entered the room, with the magazine and the balloon fragments. "We have a problem." He dumped the balloon fragments on the table. Everyone took notice of them. The equisapien doctor continued, "Blitz is gone. Evidently, he's been gone since last night. His meals for today have not been touched. And, this magazine's back page has been torn off, indicating that he took it. What should we do?" Animax took the magazine and looked at the front cover. It was a monthly publication for a private institute of learning. The magazine was titled as "Honor Roll" with the subtitle "Advancements For Success." Animax hummed, and looked inside the cover for the publication date. Then, Animax handed the magazine off to the others, and headed off for the mainframe chambers. Hunter and Rob went with him. Hunter asked, "You have an idea on where Blitz might have gone?" Animax nodded his muzzle. "I have an idea, yes. I just need to confirm it. But we must ask ourselves this: if where he went has a chance to improve his life and make him into a better Road Rover, should we go take him away from it?" Hunter and Rob both erf'ed. Animax pulled up some information on "Honor Roll" and the magazine's issue and volume number, then searched the records to see what was on the last page. When the picture of the page appeared on the mainframe screen, Animax smiled. "I was right. Blitz went to check out an image improvement course at... yes, a branch facility of Ravibren University. I'll contact the facility and see if Blitz did indeed go there. And before you ask, guys, its a fine course. I took it myself." Animax winked at them. Hunter arched his eye, tilting his head. "Blitz is going to college?" Chapter 11 Blitz sat in a chair in the admissions building, as he worked on filling out his entry forms. The questions were typical, but hard for him. He was a Road Rover. What he had started out by wanting to do secretly, he was discovering that he was going to need the Master's help on. Blitz sighed, as he took the form to the admissions counselor. The counselor looked over the form, then glanced up at Blitz. "How badly do you want to take this Improvements course, Mr. Blitz?" Blitz replied, "No, no. Not Mr. Blitz; just Blitz. I am a Road Rover." He sighed. "I feel that I am a disgrace to the rest of the team. I am teased, I am the butt of their jokes, and Colleen does not respect me... but maybe... I have not acted right around her either... and I have a bad habit... I like to bite tushies..." The counselor arched an eye. "You like to bite... tushies? Mr... I mean, Blitz... This course could help you... but I am afraid that a lot of your problems are mental." Blitz blinked his eyes. "Mental? You mean I am crazy?" The counselor patted Blitz's paw. "We don't like to use that word here, Blitz. In addition to this course, I am going to ask that you also take a few other classes. And, I am going to prescribe a medication into your diet, Blitz." Blitz paled. "Diet?" The counselor nodded her head. "Yes, I said diet. You need to also improve your eating habits. I believe the reason you like to bite... tushies... is because you are lacking a dietary supplemental vitamin in your meals, and it causes you to seek out an alternative. It is somewhat like a human biting their fingernails. You bite... tushies..." Blitz oh'ed. "Who knew?" The counselor smiled. "In addition to the Improvements course, I want you to take Yoga, Transcendental Meditation, World Literature, and a set of soft sports, like Golf and Chess. Above all, I want you to avoid any situation that will upset you." She marked Blitz's admittance form with the approval stamp, then shook Blitz's paw. "Welcome to college." Blitz smiled, shaking the hand in return. "Thank you. You won't regret it." The counselor smiled again. "My name is Naomi. Follow me. I'll take you to your dormatory room, then, I'll show you around the campus. You'll be sharing a room with another student. He has had some personal problems, like you have, and came to take the Improvements course. I think the two of you will get along nicely. Oh, and before I forget, we have a dress code here. While you're a student here, you'll have to wear the campus uniform. It is comfortable, so don't you worry about that. It was made with comfort in mind. You'll be expected to bathe every day, and attend all three meals. Medical and dental are covered here, as well. I just know that you'll like it here, Blitz." Chapter 12 Hunter sat calmly reading a comic book. Colleen and Exile paced back and forth. Muzzle was bouncing around in his cart idly. Shag was in the kitchen making a cake. "Rah, Rawh-ruh ruh." Animax spoke with the Master in private within his chambers, via video phone. Colleen finally poked her nose over the top of the comic book. "Hunty- wunty... when do we go after Blitz?" Exile poked his nose over the comic book too. "Yes, comrade! When do we go bring him back?" Hunter looked up at the two. "We don't. We're going to give Blitz the time he needs. Besides, our main concern should be Parvo. We haven't heard a peep out of him since he ambushed us at the junkyard." Hunter resumed reading his comic book, which was, oddly enough, the Swat Kats. Colleen blinked her eyes. "We're NOT going after Blitz? But... but... we might need him if we meet up with Parvo again!" Colleen was thinking that they might need someone to act as door-bait if they found Parvo. Exile crossed his arms over his chest. "If we need to focus on Parvo, then let's go flush him out!" Hunter spoke from behind his comic. "Sure thing, Exile. Why don't you and Colleen go flush him out?" He peered over the comic at the two as they were starting to leave. "Flushing Parvo out; you stay away from Blitz." Colleen and Exile both skidded to a halt in their tracks, both thinking the same thing. {Damned!} Hunter grinned and resumed reading his comic book. Colleen and Exile heading into the parking garage and got their motorcycles revved up. Exile glanced at Colleen and said, "Are we really going to go look for Parvo?" Colleen winked at Exile. "Of course, luv. And if we just accidently ride by that college where Blitz is... Hunter can't really get mad at us. We can say that it was a chance meeting." Exile grinned. "I like how you think, comrade Colleen! Let's go find Parvo!" Colleen and Exile rode off down the exit tunnel on their search, unbeknownst of the ears that overheard their plans. Rob pulled himself out from under his motor home. "I better tell Hunter what Colleen and Exile are up to." Rob headed off to find Hunter.
